Abstract

The development of antibacterial materials derived from renewable resources is of increasing interest for environmental and biomedical applications. In this study, polyvinyl alcohol/silver nanoparticle-loaded biochar/sodium alginate (PVA/Ag-BCH/SA) composite beads were fabricated using corn husk as a carbon source to produce biochar. Silver nanoparticles were synthesized using tea polyphenols as a reducing agent and subsequently immobilized onto the surface of corn husk biochar.
